  • Chi Ossé ~ New York City Council Member

    Chi Ossé is the Council Member for New York City’s 36th District, representing Bedford-Stuyvesant and North Crown Heights. At just 23 years old, he became the youngest member of the City Council in 2021, and its sole representative from Generation Z. Before entering politics, Ossé was a prominent organizer in the Black Lives Matter movement.

    As co-Chair of the Brooklyn Delegation, Ossé focuses on innovative public safety solutions, addressing the housing crisis, and advocating for budget justice. In his first term, he passed critical legislation to provide anti-overdose medication to nightlife venues and initiated a legislative package to combat the city's rat problem, demonstrating his commitment to pragmatic, life-saving reforms.

    In 2024, Averie ran as the Democratic candidate for Texas’s 112th House District, fighting for a future that prioritizes reproductive rights, fair wages, and ethical technology. With a vision centered on Her Body, Her Future, Wages That Work for All, and Ethical Tech for All, she remains committed to building a Texas that uplifts and empowers every community.
